Hi! I’m Rita Guthrie, founder of Open Door PR. I’ve been involved in public relations and creative business events since the early 90’s. Back in the day, my colleagues nicknamed me the Idea Lady when I became the go-to person for brainstorming clever PR and marketing ideas.

Rita Guthrie is the founder and owner of Open Door PR, a boutique consulting firm dedicated to small business. The business officially launched in 2005 and has since added networking and educational events such as Coffee Talk, The Open Door Marketing Academy, and the annual SMART Goals event.

Rita’s Background
After having lived in New York and New Jersey, Rita has called the Lehigh Valley (Pennsylvania) home since 1987. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art and pursued graduate studies in Logistics Management and Systems Analysis and Design. It was through her work on the board of a local non-profit that her natural skill for public relations and marketing became evident. Spend some time with her, and you will realize that Rita is a master connector and idea generator.
